House rules and gaming culture at Seestern
Clear rules for a quiet evening at the Seestern arcade.
Arcade house rules
Why house rules are necessary
Every licensed arcade in Hesse needs clear rules, and Seestern in Dietzenbach has them. This page summarizes the most important points of the house rules, explains youth protection, and describes how guests should interact in the machine and billiard area. Knowing the rules allows you to spend the evening without unnecessary interruptions.
Operating an arcade requires more than just a permit under § 33c of the Trade Regulation Act (GewO); it also requires an orderly framework. The house rules translate this framework into concrete rules for guests. They protect minors, ensure a quiet gaming environment, and prevent conflicts before they arise. Anyone entering the premises at Justus-von-Liebig-Straße 30 accepts these rules upon entry.
Seestern is a local arcade with gaming machines, billiards, and a bar. Gaming takes place exclusively on-site. There are no online bets and no payouts via the internet. Entertainment is created here in the room, at the machine, at the billiard table, and at the bar.

In short: What applies tonight?
- Show ID, release seat, stay quiet.
- Drinks only from the bar, no outside food.
- For questions, staff is available directly in the room.
Youth protection as a core rule
Access is reserved for persons aged 18 and over, without exception. This is stipulated by the Hessian Arcade Act and is non-negotiable. An official photo ID is checked upon entry, for regulars as well as new guests. Anyone without an ID will not be admitted, even on repeat visits. This rule serves to protect minors and secures the operator's permit.
Control at entry and in the house
Age verification takes place at entry; staff also ensures that no minors are in the house unnoticed. If it is noticed that a person has not reached the minimum age, they will be asked to leave the house. This is not a matter for discussion, but a duty monitored by the public order office. In case of doubt, further identification may be requested. This diligence is in the interest of the entire operation.

For regulars
Even those who come every week show their ID. Consistent checking protects staff from mistakes and guests from unequal standards. Please see the brief check as part of the evening.
For new guests
If you are coming to Seestern for the first time, plan a minute at the entrance. The staff will be happy to explain where the machine area, billiards, and bar are located and which areas are currently free.
Venue rules
Consideration at the machine, table, and bar
Three areas, one tone: keep your distance, follow the order, stay quiet. This keeps the game readable for everyone at the table and at the machine.
Behavior at the gaming machine
Consideration applies at the machine: Occupied seats are not claimed by other guests, and the machine is released for the next guest after the game. Spectators keep their distance so the playing guest can play in peace. If you feel uncomfortable, contact the staff. Discussions about game progress do not belong at the machines.
Behavior at the billiard table
The billiard table is used in the order of arrival. Whoever finishes a game clears the space for the next round. Accessories are put back, drinks stay at the bar or tables. Anyone observing that a round is taking a long time should wait instead of intervening.
Behavior at the bar
At the bar, consideration for other guests, especially the service staff, applies. Orders are placed in an orderly sequence. Drinks do not belong at the billiard table; empty glasses go back to the bar. These little things keep operations running smoothly.
Play quietly, share fairly, leave space.
Consideration among guests — for everyone, every evening
Consideration among guests
Every guest should feel safe at Seestern. Therefore, disrespectful behavior, harassment, or loud arguments are not permitted. Anyone who feels disturbed should immediately contact the staff, who can intervene. In case of repeated violations, entry may be permanently denied. This rule applies to everyone, regardless of the duration of their membership.
Especially in the later evening hours, quiet behavior contributes a lot to the evening. Conversations at a normal volume, no shouting across the room, no leaning on other people's equipment. Anyone coming with several people should keep an eye on the group.
Outside food and drinks
Outside drinks and food are not allowed in the establishment. This applies to the vending machine area as well as the billiard and bar area. Drinks are available at the bar; food is not offered. Anyone wishing to eat after their visit will find restaurants in the vicinity. This rule is part of the house rules and is consistently enforced.
Staff and interaction
Respectful interaction with staff
The staff is instructed to enforce the house rules and deserves respect while doing so. Anyone receiving an instruction should follow it and not argue. Anyone with questions can ask them at any time. Complaints are taken seriously and, if possible, resolved on the spot.
Anyone wishing to express themselves comprehensively should write to[email protected]. Please briefly describe the date, time, and concern so that a response is possible.
Violations and their consequences
In the event of a violation of the house rules, the guest will be warned the first time. In the event of repeated violations or serious breaches of rules, exclusion will follow. In the case of criminal offenses, the police will be involved. The operator reserves the right to permanently deny entry. These consequences are not pleasant, but necessary to ensure operations for all guests.
Warning for the first violation. The staff explains the rule and asks for a change in behavior.
Exclusion for the evening. In case of repetition or serious violation, the visit ends.
Permanent denial. The operator may deny entry for the future.
Rules for groups
Groups are subject to the same rules as individual guests. Anyone coming with several people should ensure that the volume remains within reasonable limits. This applies especially in the later evening hours when other guests want to play in peace. For larger groups, a short inquiry in advance at06074 7284462is recommended. This way, conflicts can be avoided from the start.
